The ATS Score
Many companies today use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to automatically scan and pre-sort incoming applications. PARAT's AtsScoreWidget shows you how well your resume can be read by these systems.
Why is the ATS Score important?
If an ATS cannot read your resume correctly, you may be sorted out before a human has even seen your application. A high ATS Score ensures that your information is extracted and evaluated correctly.
How the check works
The AtsScoreWidget simulates an ATS scan of your resume:
- Text Extraction: It checks whether the text can be read flawlessly from the PDF.
- Keyword Analysis: It looks for industry-standard keywords.
- Formatting Check: It warns of problematic elements (like nested tables, complex graphics, or unusual fonts) that can confuse ATS systems.
AI credits
AI credits and credit packs explains the available credit packs and period credits. Your account permissions and the terms of the feature also matter when using an ATS scan.
Optimization Tips
- Avoid overly complex layouts when applying to large corporations.
- Use clear, standardized headings (e.g., "Work Experience", "Education").
- Use relevant keywords from the job advertisement.
- Ensure that your PDF is text-based (not a scanned image).
