Changing and Customizing Templates

Your resume needs to be convincing not just in content, but also visually. PARAT offers various professionally designed templates that you can switch between with a single click.

How to change your template

  1. Go to the editor section of your resume.
  2. Click on Templates (or "Design") in the sidebar or menu.
  3. A selection of different designs will appear – ranging from classic and conservative to modern and creative.
  4. Click on a template to instantly apply it to your preview. All your entered data will be perfectly preserved!

Customizing the design

With most templates, you can make additional visual adjustments:

  • Colors: Choose an accent color that matches your personality or even the corporate identity of the company you are applying to.
  • Fonts: Decide between sans-serif (modern) and serif (classic) fonts to underline the character of your resume.
  • Spacing: Sometimes a slight adjustment to the layout spacing helps fit your resume perfectly onto one or two pages.

Tip: If you are applying to a traditional bank, a clean, classic template is usually the best choice. For a design or creative role, you can opt for a more colorful and striking layout.

Preview and Export

After changing a template, always check the preview to ensure the page breaks look good. Once you're satisfied, you can export your resume as a flawless PDF.
